I started Thompson construction back in 1995 after my boss passed away. Back at that time I worked winters for the Breckenridge ski patrol and summers roofing. I have been roofing and doing construction since 1983 after high school graduation in Denver. I worked for small Durango contractors as a young man and always wanted to be like them. Now I live my dream of operating my own company. 

I get to control my quality control as everything runs by me and I still do the work except now I am 61 years old and mostly supervise and get materials. I have a crew of 10 Craftsman that I use on my bigger jobs to get the jobs done quicker and cleaner than ever before. We stress the small details of metal and shingle roofing and clean up our jobs every time every day. I also install doors ,sliding doors, windows, decks and small carpentry projects as requested.

Over the years I have managed and worked for other companies but they never are able to give the amount of customer service and quality that I strive for. Here I am 40 years later still doing what I enjoy and get great satisfaction completing projects. In my free time I still mountain bike and ski as I did when I first came to Durango in 1985.
